ryanbgrant1988
Has anyone else used this company? I've used them internationally in the past and found they had an office in Cape Town. I've just completed my transfer to Australia and they really helped me out and did all the paperwork (thank god); got 8.79 which seems pretty good when my bank (Standard Bank) offered me 9.05. I've had a quick look through the forum and couldn't see anyone who had used them, but I'd highly recommend them.Tim helped me out (tim.lewis@currenciesdirect.com). HadEnoughofJuju
I haven't heard of them but that rate is awesome, wish I had found them.
ryanbgrant1988
I don't really know much about the foreign exchange markets, but a friend of mine said I was lucky that my tax clearances just happened to come through on a day where it was very favourable. Hyperion
What are the minimum amounts to transfer and are there once-off fees that are charged per transaction or upon "registering" for their service?Or did you just ask them to convert X rands to AUD and you got a rate of R8.79 with no overheads?Just curious because I need to start thinking about smuggling our Rands out now at the best rate. ryanbgrant1988
It doesn't cost to register, but I have no idea about minimums and charges. I moved pretty much every Rand I had and there was no charge, but your best contacting Tim who booked everything for me for details (tim.lewis@currenciesdirect.com).
