Time frame after medicals are completed

Hi

Can anyone give us an idea of how long they waited after they did their medicals and police clearances etc to hear from Aus? We did our medicals on 01 March and have still not heard anything. Is there any way to know how our application is progressing without further delaying things?

Hi

Can be anything from 3 weeks to 2 months.

My meds reached LCU on 22nd Feb whereas PCC reached ASPC on 7th march.

I'm still waiting...

Good luck

The general feeling around is that it takes two months to process the medicals.

Our meds were delivered on 22 Jan, AOS lodged 7 Feb, PCC emailed 16 Feb, and I confirmed with DIAC on 22 March that they have all required paperwork but we're still waiting. Hope to hear soon....

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your application

PS - have you registered on Austimeline?

Hi Carl,

It also depends on which type of visa you ae applying for. On the 136 the processing time is longer than on a 457, for example.

Were told that the Doctor takes 1 - 2 weeks to complete and send of to Oz. It takes them 1 - 2 months to finish of and give you the green light assuming that you "pass" your medical and then another month for the 136Visa to be granted.

Thanx everyone for your input we found it helpful but a bit distressing. Won't it be faster if we are on the MODL list? We did try the timeframe website but it was quite difficult to navigate. It's hard not to think that perhaps something is wrong with our documentation!

Hi guys

We did ours on 28th Feb - the day before you (Drs Stoner, Rosendorff etc in town). Our agent told us to expect a 2 month processing time in Sydney, so we're not expecting to hear anything before the beginning of May.

Regards,

Scott
