followmylead
I am so excited about our upcoming visit to WA in 12 days time. I am so impressed with our possible future employers. They have not only paid for our flights and visas, but organized visits to schools, houses, local attractions. They have booked our accomodation and supply all our meals, a car etc. All we have to do is come. Today we chatted about the practical implications, like moving costs, visa's, cars, rentals etc..and they have already done a thorough investigation of what is needed and what the costs are likely to be so when we get there, we can have an informed discussion. If this is a taste of Australia - then I love it already!
HadEnoughofJuju
From my experience looking for work and going for interviews since we have been here, I must say that I am really impressed with how the majority of employers actually look after their staff. You will get the odd one or two that are horrible bosses but in general employees are valued as an asset to the company they work for and not a disposable liability. Good luck for the trip and I hope you enjoy your time here.

vaughanroe
It certinaly sound like you are in for a soft landing and I have seldom heard of this sort of assistance from companies.Grab the opportunity with both hands with humility, gratitude and joy as you are maybe in the 0.1% of people who are this fortunate and for others it is a great deal more trying and challenging. I have heard of others who did not take up this sort of offer only to later pay vast sums of money to get to Australia and with a great deal more hassle.Naturally this must mean the skills are highly sought after. All the best with what should generally speaking be a very easy decision. AndreaL
Yep, it is not the norm, so consider yourself lucky. That said my BIL had a similar introduction, business class flights, wined and dined in fancy Brisbane restaurants, and a migration specialist to talk them through the psychological aspects of such a move, so it does happen, particularly with senior management.Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your visit and have a successful outcome.
