AlBrough
Hi BellaR,Have you done the AITSL assessment?
Werns
Well, I had to first get AITSL to certify that my degree is acceptable for Visa purposes, but I guess you could skip this step. I thought that this would count towards them accepting me to teach, but each state is different so you have to prove everything from scratch. What you need to do is to register through Queensland College Of Teachers. On their site for international teachers they have all the information: https://www.qct.edu.au/Registration/overseas.htmlYou basically need to register for an online account: https://www.qct.edu.au/Interactive/CreateAccount.aspx?btnApplyOnline=Apply+online+for+teacher+registrationThen fill the forms out online, print it, sign it in front of a Justice of the Peace and send it to them with all the required documentation. Some of the important documents you will need will be your police clearance and IELTS results - you can see their requirements for IELTS here: https://www.qct.edu.au/registration/english.htmlThere are a lot of other things you need as well, but you can read through the documentation and see what those are. After you are registered to teach, then you need to get in contact with them about how to actually get a job - the information for that is also on their website. I was lucky in that I got a job at a private school, so I didn't need to go through the education department for that. All the best
