Letter of acknowledgement/confirmation?

Hi,

Has anyone applying for partner visa via pretoria office any advice in regards to receiving confirmation/acknowledgment of an application? Time frame etc?

We lodged 28 February 2007 and have not received an email or letter. Is it normal to sometimes not even receive acknowledgment from the high commission?
