OubaasDik
Hi thereMe and my oh will be travelling to Perth with our 2 kids aged 9 and 4.We hoping to fly Quantas. What eats do they serve and please take us through the journey (your experiences). Thanks FROM A VERY,Anxious MOM:)!Firstly - you're not flying Qantas - you're flying SAA. If everything works as it did last year .....Just as all the SAA passengers going to Sydney find themselves inexplicably on a Qantas plane. They flight-share or whatever the jargon is - book on either airline - go on the one that actually does the flight. My wife brought our sprogs over to Perth in 2003 on the same flight with a different number, but the same plane. They were a bit older 10 and 8. She booked the 3 seats near a window and sat in the middle (two kids - separate the little buggers), and had a fairly good flight.I have made that flight 3 times - twice on 747s and then on a long slap Airbus with over 100 rows of seats. On the one 747 I sat upstairs and it was great - mostly empty and the koffie-moffie was a comedian. Kept us laughing - I think he was the inflight entertainment, I can't remember a movie. The long slap airbus was actually not slap and was pretty comfortable.I am a TERRIBLE flyer and I wasn't greatly concerned.Sorry food is normal SAA food.
