If you are the topic starter you will notice that in the bottom right hand corner of each reply is a button called "Mark resolved". As topic starter you can choose which reply you think best answers the question. Clicking this button will have the following affect:
1. The selected reply will be highlighted Green
2. The selected reply will be marked Best answer
3. The selected reply will be moved to directly beneath the original post
4. The topic title will be labelled "Answered" in the list of topics.
Please use this feature wisely in a way that helps future readers of the thread.
