WernerB Posted January 24, 2013 Report Share Posted January 24, 2013 Hi Guys / Girls,I am wondering, how does the engineering scene look in OZ? I know mining is booming at the moment? I am a Civil Engineer specializing in water and sanitation. With my current employer here in SA, I am now doing roads and stormwater, landfills, earthworks, retaining walls, basically everything associated with Municipal infrastructure.I have two basic questions, is there a demand for my skills at this stage and in general, how does OZ treat the different engineering qualifications like between engineers, technologists and technicians. Here in SA if you are a technician / technologist you are often frown upon as a second hand engineer.
