RICHARD-CINDY
AllWe currently live in Manly sydney but I have been offered an amazing job opportunity in Brisbane. We are up this weekend to look at suburbs. Like the beach, bay or leafy suburbs within 45 mins of the cityWe are going to look at the following - any comments or additional suburbs?Ascot, Hamilton, bulimba, camp hill, wellington point, Victoria point, birkleyThanks in advance
MarcK
I can vouch for Bulimba - on the banks of the river, leafy, trendy in a chilled sort of way, restaurants and movies in Oxford street - good area!
Fish
Bulimba is great. (Map: Street View)For starters I would add:The Gap (Map: Street View)Bardon (Map: Street View)Ashgrove (Map: Street View)Red Hill (Map: Street View)Paddington (Map: Street View)Rosalie (Map: Street View)Auchenflower (Map: Street View)Toowong (Map: Street View)Taringa (Map: Street View)Indooroopilly (Map: Street View)Chelmer (Map: Street View)Graceville (Map: Street View)Sherwood (Map: Street View)Kelvin Grove (Map: Street View)Herston (Map: Street View)Wilston (Map: Street View)Windsor (Map: Street View)Grange (Map: Street View)Gordon Park (Map: Street View)Redcliffe (Map: Street View)Scarborough (Map: Street View)I've included a map reference next to each suburb to give you the general area to head to. After you click you sometimes have to wait a while for the street view to come up and then you can get a quick idea what the suburb is like. Most suburbs listed are nice but on the expensive side (for Brisbane, not Sydney) so if you would like some more affordable suburbs included to compare then let us know... RICHARD-CINDY
Thanks so much. We going to rent at first and buy in the next 12 months. We do not want to rent in a suburb where we can't afford to buy. Our budget will be 650 k to 850k for a 4 bed house. Is this realistic in the suburbs above? Please also provide the nice affordable areasThanks
