Springbok Posted March 14, 2007 Report Share Posted March 14, 2007 After 2 very interesting days in Hong Kong, arrived in Brisbane today.... wasn't surprised when customs wanted to search through my bags, coming from Africa and all that! Asked me about the job interviews, what I do in S.A., which companies I worked for, etc., etc. Just doing their job I suppose, but the guys were quite nice.My cousin drove straight to the Powerhouse from the airport and we went for a ferry ride on the Brisbane river, awesome! Love those City Cats! Then we went to Mount Cooh-tah (spelling??) for a view of the whole city. Must say it looks bigger than Joburg! Hou ons asb op hoogte en wat jy van Brisbane en GC dink. Ons beplan om Brisbane omgewing toe te trek.Hoopelik Oktober. Ons beplan om Brisbane omgewing toe te trek.Ek is hoofsaaklik hier om my PR visa te aktiveer... kuier sommer by my niggie-hulle in Anstead, hulle bly hier op 'n kleinhoewe so 20km wes v/d CBD. Baie nice en ons slaap regtig saans met oop deure, net die sifdeure is toe om die vlieënde goeters uit te hou! Die naweek Sydney toe om Marriage of Figaro in die Operahuis te gaan kyk en dan Maandag 'n hele paar interviews inpas. Daarna weer terug na Brisbane en hopelik nog 'n interview of twee hier, voordat ons weer Donderdag terugkeer na S.A. Maar die 1ste Junie skuif ek permanent Australië toe.Brisbane is 'n GREAT plek van dit wat ek die afgelope 2 dae gesien het... G-R-O-O-T dankie ook aan Boeta (a.k.a. zzz) en sy seun wat ons vanmiddag rondgery het en Red Cliff en North Lakes gewys het, regtig baie nice. Boeta se vrou het selfs snacks by die huis gehad, julle gasvryheid kook, ou maat! Nie seker of ek hierdie keer vir GC gaan sien nie, dink my niggie gaan more bietjie met ons rondry. Verder het ek dadelik opgelet hoe skoon die CBD is en hoe mooi die geboue is, regtig baie goeie mix tussen ou historiese en nuwe geboue.
