Buck
Hi AllWe're still waiting for our PR 136. Doctors sent the medicals and I emailed the scanned PCC and IELTS certificates to aspc(dot)region(dot)5(at)immi(dot)gov(dot)au since our CO has been assignedI have contacted DIAC communication centre twice to confirm whether or not they have successfully received our documents. No response.I use this link:http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/forms/gsm/post.htm"Do not e-mail individual case officers as this will only delay processing of your information."Did anyone contact their case officer directly? Do you think I should try? We have until May 7th to submit our docs, but I just want to know if they have received it. "Timeframe for ResponseA full response should be made within 70 days of receiving this letter, which is by – 07 May 2007.You are taken to have received this letter today. If there has not been any response by that date, or if the response is unsatisfactory or incompletewithout a sound reason then, in accordance with legislation this application may then be decidedbased on information available."Any ideas?Buck
MANDYL
No I don't know of anyone who did but did hear the rumour that if you start bugging them your file goes to the bottom of the heap .....
Buck
No I don't know of anyone who did but did hear the rumour that if you start bugging them your file goes to the bottom of the heap .....I'd better not bug them then. I just wish they would let me know that they have received my DOCS.

Dedrei
Hi buckPlease see my last post on following thread http://www.saaustralia.org/index.php?showtopic=2205&st=60It doesn't really provide a reason, but give it a few days, than rather hassling them and them putting your application at the bottom of the pile Hang in there, I'm sure they'll respond soon. I have also heard that they don't acknowledge emails per se, some peoples visas got approved without them getting a confirmation email.Don't stress too much.CheersI would also just like to clarify the followingIf you don't have a case officer yet, you email docs to branch2(dot)docattach@immi (dot) gov (dot) au If you have a case officer allocated already you send docs to region(dot)5(at)immi(dot)gov(dot)au
rsteyn
Hi BuckSorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this comes from personal experience and numerous phone calls to the DIAC's call center. They are only going to look at your file again after the 7 May 2007. Every time they look at your file and request information they date your file. When your file gets dated it goes back into waiting with the other files. You will notice that your requested by date is on a Monday. On the 7 May 2007 your CO will get a pile of files he/she will have to look at for that week. So he/she will only look at your file in the week of 7 May 2007. This is the part I am note to clear on but what has happened to us is that our file came up for review and was then dated for another month, what DIAC has explained to me is that numerous people look at your file during the decision process. So this is what I think happened to me :My CO looked at my file and was happy that I have send them the information that they required, I did not get another request, and then dated it for another month for someone to make a decision about the visa. So to give you an idea of time spend:1) CO Allocated - Medicals and PCC October 20062) Further info required got request in 3 Jan 2007 due date 29 Jan 20073) Gave documents to agent 15 Jan 2007 (agent did not send) 4) File came up for review on 29 Jan 2007 did not see documents requested dated file for 26 Feb 20075) Found out about agents stuff up send documents in on 17 Feb 2007 and confirmed receipt on 21 Feb 20076) File came up for review on 26 Feb 2007 and was dated to end of 26 March 2007 (this is my guess). 7) Now waiting for the end of the month and hopefully then DIAC will send me my Grant Letter. So my advise for you is sit back and relax if you want to follow up on the medicals send an email to lcu[at]immi[dot]gov[dot]au and supply them all the applicants info:For Each ApplicantApplicant Name:Dates of Birth:Passport Numbers:For the Application and Courier InfoVisa Applied For:Date Medicals Dispatched:Method of Dispatch:Courier Company Name:Tracking Number:Details of Receipt Date:Name of Person who Signed for the Package:And they will be able to tell you if they have cleared your medicals. So the golden rule is wait and be patient if you are sure that you have send them every thing they require then you can only wait for 7 May 2007.Hope this helpsCheersRudiP.S. if the only thing that this will provide is that you don't sit around and think today will be the day then it has served its purpose. As this was what I was doing and that just makes it so much harder to carry on with life.
sebr
I contacted my case officer via e-mail several times, he was nothing but helpful, maybe it just depends on who your case officer is.By the way whenever i contacted him i always got a response the next day. I asked for things like acknowledgement of docs ect, after i sent the last bit of info visa was granted within a week.

Karen96
Hello Buck,How are you?Any progress regarding your application...I have been following yours because mine is very close to yours.Medicals reached LCU on 22.02 and i got a reply from them saying they don't require any further infomation from me at this stage concerning health. So therefore, to me the file is lying at ASPC now and the grant should not take long...Karen
Buck
Hi Karen96I Haven't heard anything as yet.I will email LCU on Monday to confirm that they have indeed received our meds.As you have followed ours, you probably know about our meds that was sent to Adelaide instead of Sydney.I phoned Adelaide 2 weeks ago and they assured me that it would have been forwarded to LCU.So we still wait. You also on PR 136?Regards
Karen96
Hi BuckI probably missed the part relating to the wrong despatching of your medicals.Yes - i think you should enquire but first with ASPC to ascertain they did send those meds to LCU. From there you will then be able to contact the latter. I am on a STNI Subclass 137 visa.. Good luck
Buck
Hi Karen96Here's the part you missed.http://www.saaustralia.org/index.php?showtopic=3785ASPC cannot confirm that it was the medicals that was sent but there was a note on the system that documents have been received and was forwarded.According to me, the only docs not assessed by ASPC is the medicals. Thus I assume that it is the medicals that was forwarded to LCU.Will give it until Monday still.Regards
