I suffer from migraines and bad headaches and am very frustrated as Maxalt works for me but my GP refuses to prescribe it due to the possible side effects. The pain and vomitting of migraines way outweigh any possible side effects for me at this stage. Willa Posted August 11, 2012 Report Share Posted August 11, 2012 The doctor that I go to at Appletree Medical Centre had no problem to prescribe Maxalt, as I was use to a repeat in prescription in SA I've asked and she gave me a repeat for 6 and when the prescription is finished I just ask for a repeat.
