How do people rate GreenWood

Hi all

We're thinking of buying a place in Greenwood, 3 by 1 but double garage, wood floors, nice space etc.

How do people feel about GreenWood? Seems pretty good to us, although a bit further from Hillarys Mariner which we've gotten used to :-)

Hi

Greenwood is a good value for money area, yes its not a primary beach side suburb, and again its not that far from the beach or Hillarys. Its the classic case of howmuch much can you afford?

Most being an older area the blocks are larger that the new areas. Its close enough to the city and the beach. It has some beautiful parks with LARGE trees. It has a good infrastrucute close to the freeway and railway links. You cant go wrong especially with prices going the way they are in Perth.

Good luck with your decision.

Greenwood is fine. I've not heard any bad things.

Greenwood is definitely not Hillary's!, but as said before, being close to the freeway and the station is a definite bonus plus it's not a far drive to the beach. As an older area it is more established, but sometimes older areas have pockets that can be a bit run down.

On the REIWA website they have suburb profiles that may be useful.

Guest Colleen

Hi ,

Yes Greenwood is a more established older area of Perth.

There is also an older area of Hillarys too which people are not aware off, which is

situated closer to Marmion Avenue.

The area closer to the marina is the newer Hillarys, and extremely expensive.

Greenwood is a great central location. It is not too far from Perth, however is

close to the beach, railway, and shopping centres.

The blocks are larger, however, the housing is older. Many of the houses

are in the process of rejuvenation, which has added value to the area.

I hope this helps.
