Their luggage ended up being overweight when they went back and one suitcase had to stay behind. Qantas wanted to charge us $800 - $50 per kilo! Mum and Dad are very dissappointed about having to leave this so I'm realy trying to get the suitcase to them without having to take out a second mortgage on my house . I've repacked it and it is about 11kg at this stage. If anyone is moving or just travelling light to South Africa and don't mind an extra bag, it will be greatly appreciated if you are prepared to help us out. Perhaps you should break it into smaller parcels of around 2kgs, then it may be easier for folks to offer to help.
