marilu
Hi thereWe're looking for flight tickets from Cape Town to Perth in the first 2 weeks of Feb 2012.The cheapest we can get is through Air Malaysia (2 adults, 1 child - one-way) - R17 200. BUT then they add another R1000 for who knows what, so the total is +- R18 500. Is that cheap? Should we wait till closer to the time or is that pushing the limits? Orion25
Hi Marilu,Are you leaving to Perth for good or for validation only?If it is your immigration flight try Gloria @ IOM - they specialise in migration flights and their prices were very good. www.iom.org.zaT

marilu
Orion we're leaving for good, can't afford the validation visit We've already contacted IOM but their quote was +-R23 000. Their baggage allowance is 40kg per person whereas Air Malaysia is only 20kg but for R6000 I'll rather skip the baggage Syria I've checked SAA but it's also R23 000 Thanks for the suggestions
heine77
I am not sure that you will get it cheaper than that. Flights from 1 March the rates should drop fractionally.
Gertjie123
HiGo and have a look on the following website www.travelstart.co.za we normally get the cheapest flights there. The website basically just search all the airline sites and give you all the prices for the specific date. If there are flights that you are interested in, then go to the airline website and purchase your tickets directly from them and you will save a couple of Rand more. Good luck. lloyd
MorningThat's just about the going rate as we where also quoted that for 2 adults and 1 child leaving end of January 2012 with 20 kg luggage. We opted for the 20kg as it does not make sence to pay about R7K just for an extra 60kg (for all three of us) as im sure one could just buy some more clothes that side when you land for less and what you need. Opportunities
Marilu,The price you are getting from Malaysia Airlines are excellent, you will struggle to do better. However, please check on the baggage allowance again, because I know for a fact that it is 30kg checked baggage plus 5kg hand luggage for each travelling passenger, not 20kg like their website says.Just as a matter of interest, I also did not feel like paying their booking fee, but when I tried to book the tickets on their website, I could get it for +-R37 000.00 for 3 adults and 2 children from Cape Town to Adelaide, stopping over in Kuala Lumpur, but when I phoned their offices, she got the same date, same route for me, with their booking fee for only R32 000.00!Good luck!Karen
