Medicals Done

Hi everyone,

So I thought all the nerve wracking stuff would be over but we had our medicals on Friday and it did not go so smoothly.

My husband is on medication for a bad knee (he has had 11 ops) and they had questions about the meds and their effects etc. He also had blood in his urine which we are hoping was just due to dehydration.

Must say we are feeling nervous about it all. If we have not heard by Thursday then everything has gone through ok. It does cross your mind whether or not we may slip at the last hurdle.

Keglin,

We are holding thumbs, we've also had a bit of a rough time here, but I know we have all come too far to loose it now.

Thinking of you.

Hi Keglin

Hang in there!!

In my experience DIAC is more concerned with the long term prognosis, for example what additional surgery your hubby will require in the near future etc. The blood in the urine is quite common and my friend was asked to go to a specialist for confirmation. Apparently the "dipstick" test done in normal doc's rooms is not entirely accurate and can often give a false positive. The specialist will do a lab test which may have better results.

Anyhow, I am not a doc but I know of people in our personal circle that have had major back surgeries etc and they have been living in Aus now for over a year!

There is hope!!

The fact that we will probably all need a straight jacket after this process - now that's real!

Sorry to hear that you too are have a rough time too Orion.

Guess we just need to hang in there for just a little while longer like Apollo says.
