I was looking on the Qantas website yesterday and for 2 adults to fly perth to joburg on the 30th of sep and return the 15th oct it was about $3500, when i was looking about a month ago i got a price of $5500 for 2 adults. I had a look on emirites and the other airlines and it was only about $200 dollars cheaper. Have a look on the qantas website and fill in your dates and look on the other websites as well.

Check on the following websites

http://travel.webjet.com.au

They have SAA airlines at $2154 return HOWEVER if you move your trip to Sep/Oct it comes down to $1824

or

http://www.expedia.com.au/travel/cheap-flights.aspx

They have Singapore airlines at $2016 if you move your trip to Sep/Oct it comes down to $1722

or

http://www.zuji.com.au/site/travel/flights/

They have Singapore airlines at $2001 if you move your trip to Sep/Oct it comes down to $1559 with Malaysia

July August is in the peak travel time, if you move your trip to outside of those months and before end November, the flights will be cheaper.

Nice specials around...I was wondering whats cheaper? buy the ticket here for them or send money to SA for them to buy a ticket there? (I have a granny wanting to visit in November)

Elleneo, cannot answer your question, but thought to inform you that if your granny is over 70 she will also have to get medical clearance for a visa to be issued.

It would be better for you to pay for her ticket in RSA, as they have specials that we in Australia do not have access to.

Just make sure that the visa is issued before the tickets are paid for and issued.

Hope that helps

If you going to buy tickets, it's best to purchase them in SA, as they work our cheaper than purchasing them in Aus.

can you buy tkts in RSA with Perth as the departure city and JNB as the destination city?

Yes you can, but you will still pay a Aussie Fare converted to Rands
