Hi there

I have just seen that i need to undergo further medical tests on my online enquiry. It refers to a 125 - Report from a Specialist.

Does anyone know what this will involve and do i need to download a form to take with me?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

David

It means there was something on your medical they did not like in Sydney. Expect an envelope, containing another sealed envelope inside. In the first it will tell you that you need to go to the panel doctor you have seen before with the sealed letter. He will open it and then tell you what they want done. In my case it was a report from a specialist and another blood test. If you have an existing condition they can and will ask for more tests. Generally the doctor you saw could/should have said what was going to happen after seeing you or mentioned any issues. He would also have seen your blood results. Of course a serious issue like TB or AIDS can stop your plans. But on a the plus side, my sister in law had to go for another X-ray because hers was badly done or the report was missing. (it was 6 years ago)

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. All that was required was a chest x-ray. Went to the radiologist and they sent the x-rays off. Never even got to see a doctor.

The online enquiry showed health finalised and then the next day further medical required.

Man this is frustrating.

It sure is frustrating, but you are almost done! The fun/ challenge will be when your visa arrives and you have less than a year to shut the door on your life there and start here. Its weird how it seems to drag on and on forever, and suddenly your number is up. When we applied there was no way to online check the status. We only got post and the odd email. Even though we opted for electronic comunication we got little of it. It appears things have changed for the better

Hi there,

How do i check online ????? Can i see online if a co was appointed ??

Regards

Sheila2oz

Personally I would not get to hung up on case officer being appointed. I think it happens at the time your application is evaluated for points. However, ours was changed at least a few times, so we got communication from at least 3 people.

of more importace I think is the stage.

1) received notification of receipt after payment cleared 2 weeks

2) points assesment 6 months

3) Request for police clearance and medical 6 months (happens after points assesed)

4) final descision 1 week to 2 months

5) delays due to lost paperwork 2 months (we had this) :ilikeit::D

Hi davidsa

Just thought I would inform u that my hubby is in the same boat. We are applying for the 457 visa and mine and our boys healther results was finalised on the 24th Jan already.

His also said FURTHER MEDICALS RESULTS REFERRED. They saw spots on his lung and need to go for tb and hiv testing and also see a specialist. We went to the specialist who tried to do a sputum test but could not get anything. The panel doctors stressed the fact that my hubby does not have tb. We then sent the report from the specialist which arrived on the 09th February 2007 and still waiting for results.

Let me know your outcome and I wish you all the best

Hi there Frenchie

This is disheartening to say the least as we are almost set to go. Luckily our emigration agent is handling things from Oz side and she has told me just to hang in there. My new employer has been more than patient, just hope they continue to wait for me. It gets a bit tough to hang in there when one is so close.

Let me know how you guys get on and thanks for your encouragement.

Cheers

David

Dear DAVIDSA

I am keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us! Yes, we are so close too! Emailed the case officer and she informed me that she does not require any further information just waiting for the results to be uploaded on the system. It is so frustrating and what makes it worse is that there is nothing wrong with my husband and they just keep on asking for more results.

KEEP ME UPDATED ON YOUR PROGRESS
