What our Brisbane Risk and Governance practice is looking for:

Due to opportunities within our Brisbane Risk and Controls Solutions team, we require experienced candidates to drive growth around our Project Assurance capabilities. This team provides Project Assurance to clients to help them reduce the risk of project failure and increase the value of project delivery. The service is growing rapidly and is limited in scale only by our ability to attract skilled and experienced people who want to play a key part in the exciting growth. The person appointed to this role will work closely supporting the project assurance capability leader.

We are seeking someone with in-depth project experience that could credibly present to Senior Client management on the status of their projects and how they can reduce risk and maximise chance to successfully deliver on time, on budget, in scope with required quality.

This role is considered appropriate for:

• Candidates with 5 - 10 years experience in project management / assurance

• Boutique project consultants looking for a ‘Big 4’ career

• Self starters with a proven ability to manage large scale projects and to manage staff effectively

Skills required:

• Solid experience in Project Assurance / Management – PM qualifications will be highly regarded.

• Extensive experience in, and knowledge of, the implementation of large high risk projects.

• Experience in the QA of major IT transformation programs would be highly valued, either in applications or infrastructure.

• Good understanding of project governance and planning and an ability to work within tight timeframes and demanding environments.

• Good understanding and knowledge and knowledge of project management methodologies.

• Essential attributes are excellent communication skills both written and verbal. An ability to communicate with impact to both internal and external clients and staff, a high attention to detail and a confident manner.

• You must enjoy working as part of a team and exhibit the ability to demonstrate high levels of initiative.

Responsibilities include:

• This role will involve working across a broad spectrum of market sectors and have exposure to senior executives, the C suite and the board.

• Ability to present credibly at client Senior Project Steering Committees

• Working with the capability leader to drive growth and enhancement of the existing core team of Project Assurance staff.

• Managing the whole project cycle from pre-sales, engagement, delivery, management and through to delivery.

• Build market reputation to enhance the profile of project assurance work within the company

• Actively promote and encourage business development activity through identifying new business and strategic opportunities

• Coaching staff, building internal networks and developing client relationships.
