Maritana
Reading the "The West Australian" today I noticed the following article:-Friday 18/02/2011 Page 19 Country Edition"Prospective tenants have become the target of international crime gangs who are posting fake Perth rental properties online in an attempt to convince people to pay big upfront deposits which are never repaid. The West Austrailian discovered several websites this week advertising Perth apartments for rent at very low prices. The contact details for the owner were often Gmail,Yahoo or Hotmail email addresses.........Anyone who inquires about the property is urged to pay a deposit, usually via Western Union, before they are allowed a viewing. One property in the Mt Eliza Apartments building in West Perth, described as a "luxurious two-bed, two bath plus office wholefloor apartment perched high on the Kings Park escarpment" was advertised for just $250 a week and prospective tenants were urged to contact Gmail addresses.......For information to those South African families searching for rental properties in Perth - please be careful
