Unless you have someone in Oz looking for out for you. You have to do the looking. What do you do Monsta?
HansaPlease
Yep, both seek.com.au and mycareer.com.au offer this tool so that prospective employers can find you…. But, I reckon the jury is out on whether it’s just a gimmick or it actually works.
zoot
I personally dont think that putting your CV on either of these sites is going to help because that is going to mean when they want to fill a position they will then need to troll through all of the CV's contact the people see if they are still interested, if their position has changed and it is not always clear how the person's skills, experience etc match up to what they are wanting. Easier to just put an ad together when you need to fill a role, put it in the newspaper or online and wait for the responses to come in. On one of the employment agencies websites they said something similar (only a lot more tactfully) saying that oh even if you are registered with us we will still advertise positions as that helps us to more accurately meet the clients needs. Basically if you see something you like dont expect us to look in our databases to see if you suit you need to make a new application for that specific role. I think the tool might only be used when the recruiter has exhausted all avenues and is desperately looking for a candidate with specific skills. Even then, the chances that you actually match the profile are slim.

CandiceM
Your best bet would be to contact recruiters specialising in your field, have a chat and send them your CV. They will then put it into their data base. This is probably the best way to 'store' your CV in Australia. In my experience, trawling through Seek and my career and applying to jobs even if they do not match your experience exactly is one of the best ways of getting your CV out there. If you see a job that you feel will be ideal the best way is to send a detailed cover letter explaining why you will be perfect for the job and/or a phone call to the recruiter.Linked in is also very popular here at the moment. So creating a profile with them and linking yourself to recruitment agents may also increase your exposure in Australia.Funnily enough we landed up coming to Australia, when an Australian recruiter spotted my husbands CV on a South Africa Cv hosting website. They then contacted us in SA, and well the rest is history. So keep it on a SA website indicate that you would definately consider moving to Oz for a position.Candice
