Senior Mechancial Engineer wanted

I work for a coal and minerals processing, multi-discipline engineering firm, with head office in Brisbane, but also offices in Townsville, MacKay and Perth. We also have international operations in Johannesburg, Chille and China. We are looking for 2 senior mechanical engineers. One for a full time role in Brisbane and the other for an inital 6 months role with possibility to extend in Perth.

What will the role involve?

Your core responsibility will be to design and control the Electrical Engineering and Drafting for various projects to achieve design outcomes appropriate to the quality, budget and programme for each project. Your duties also include:

• Liaising with clients in projects
  
• Monitor effectiveness of plant designs, scheduling of work and resource requirements
  
• Continuous improvement of design systems utilised by the organisation (CAD development, calculation, models, review process)
  
• Investigate and implement where required innovative solutions to enable Sedgman Metals to meet numerous Clients commitments during a high engineering/design demand in the metals industry.
  

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with a minimum of 5 years Experience in Engineering Design and Construction activities in the Metals mining industry.

Particular experience in materials handling, crushing grinding and piping would be advantageous.

Look to work in a motivated team to deliver lump sum turn key projects including the opportunity to work offshore.

Contract on offer for 6 months with an option to extend based on business requirements.
