An employment opportunity exists for a light aircraft maintenance technician who wishes to work and live in Ingham (close to Townsville), North Queensland, Australia. The opportunity exists for an enthusiastic person to join a family owned company comprising of a flying school, aircraft maintenance workshop and charter flight section.

A market related salary is offered ($50,000 including pension fund payments of 9%) with all the normal conditions applicable to Australia employees such as a 38 hour work week, a month’s paid leave with a 17.5% leave loading, 10 days personal leave, long service leave and the opportunity to enjoy a great coastal life style.

The employer will sponsor the right candidate (and his/her dependent family) on an employer sponsored visa (temporary) and will assist the applicant to apply for permanent residency as soon as he/she has done their CASA examinations which will provide them with a license to work unsupervised. Until then, the applicant will work under the license of the owner who is a qualified and licensed technician.

The cost of the temporary visa application will be covered in full by the employer. The cost of the visa medicals and tickets to travel to Australia should be covered by the applicant.
