Buck
Ek het 'n reply gekry vanaf Judy Mann en sy sê: Dear Mr Brink, Thank you for your e-mail in relation to applying for skilled migration to Australia. You may send the documents now or wait until requested by your case officer. Please note that the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre (ASPC) no longer requires original documentation for the purposes of processing your visa application. Providing scanned copies of documents reduces postal and administrative delays in receiving and processing information. When providing scanned documents, please ensure they are scanned copies of the original or certified documents. Please note that if scanning original documents they must be scanned in colour. As you have not yet been assigned a case officer, please e-mail scanned documents to: branch2.docattach@immi.gov.au Please refrain from mailing original documentation, unless you are specifically requested to do so (please note that DIMA officers reserve the right to request the physical documents at any time.) This is an auto generated response to confirm receipt of your documents. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL THIS DOCUMENTATION TO OUR OFFICE, the electronic version is sufficient. This email address is to only be used if you are sending scanned documents AND you have NOT been advised of your case officer. If you have a case officer please send your scanned documents to the relevant region mailbox.

Thumbs up for DIMA. Perhaps they should talk to the likes of Uni of WA (TISC to be specific). The latter flatly refused to open a PDF scanned image, attached to an email, of my son's matric results!

rsteyn
Hi BuckI have send documents this way for further proof of employment, but have not received any further requests from my CO, so still waiting to see if this speeds it up.If this is the reply from DIMA I would really suggest that you use it, as they currently just take the documents you send them and scan them in anyway.CheersRudi Steyn

jaxmvr
So this reduces the delay by a bit by cutting out the reciept, registering and reposting process. I believe in the UK doctors can do the medical online
Swerwer
For those still wondering whether they must submit scanned originals or scanned certified copies when lodging VISAS electronically, I have found the following on the Immigration website:"Once you have received your client file number you can scan and email additional documents to us. The department accepts scanned copies of the original document (non-certified) provided they are IN COLOUR and in PDF, JPEG, TIFF or BMP file formats. If you scan documents in black and white, then they must be scanned copies of the certified copies."http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa-enqui...ofessionals.htmFunny how colour can make such a difference....
