Plant Operator/Truck Driver (Yeppoon)

The Infrastructure and Planning Department are searching for a motivated and hard working Labourer to join their Yeppoon team. This position is responsible for undertaking a wide range of labouring tasks as a part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for the construction and maintenance of the Council’s infrastructure assets in accordance with recognised standards.Salary of $42,865.64, plus any relevant allowances and a 9 day f/night.

Right to Information & Privacy Officer

This is a new position within Organisational Services, Records Management. This position is critical in assisting in the delivery of timely and comprehensive responses to Right to Information and Information Privacy applications.

The Officer will work closely with the RTI Coordinator to support and provide assistance in locating, identifying and collating all documents held by their Department/Section/Unit which are relevant to the request all whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.

The successful candidate will demonstrate solid time management, planning & organising abilities as well as an excellent understanding of record keeping skills in order to be able to fulfill out the requirements of the position. Salary up to $56,692 per annum, plus a 9 day f/night.

Project Engineer

This position is responsible for providing engineering support to the Projects and Contract Management team to ensure that the capital works program is completed in accordance with budget and prescribed timeframes. Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and will be dependent on qualifications and previous experience.

Project Supervisor (Civil)

This position is responsible for competently carrying out and assisting with all functions necessary to deliver the capital works program to meet the objectives of the operational plan and budget, whilst ensuring that the management of infrastructure assets occurs in accordance with optimised provision, replacement and maintenance programs based on whole of life costs and timely intervention. Salary up to $72,202 per annum, plus a 9 day f/night.

Development Engineer

This position is a key member of the Development Assessment unit of the Business Services team and is tasked with liaising with various internal and external customers to ensure that the management of infrastructure assets occurs in accordance with optimised provision, replacement and maintenance programs based on whole of life costs and timely intervention. Salary up to $65,404 per annum, plus a 9 day f/night.

Technical Officer

This position will be responsible for providing specialist technical and support services to the Network Construction subunit in a professional, efficient and confidential manner ensuring the development of good working relationships with all staff and the public. Salary up to $65,404 per annum, plus a 9 day f/night.

Planning Officer

An exciting opportunity is available for a Planning Officer to join the Land Use team in Yeppoon. This position is responsible for providing efficient, effective and timely planning and development service to the Council, public and external agencies. Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and will be dependent on qualifications and previous experience.

Emille the salaries looks a bit on the low side, especially considering it's in Whoop whoop! Are there many allowances that ups the salary?

its local government so u work 8 to 430 and go home. you get a day off every 2 weeks. salaries exclude super. and its safe from gfc situations.

living costs are low ie we live in new 4 bed house overlooking the sea in prestige arra and rent is 400 $ a week.

if you work in yeppoon u get tax benefit off 50% off mortgage and 50% off flights to brisbane and off electricity
