Maritana Posted July 9, 2010 Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 Hi All, I noticed this article in the "Kalgoorlie Miner" dated 9/07/2010 page 26 under the section titled Sport."Teen Star On Rise"'Goldfields Tennis prospect Bernard Richter will be looking to continue his meteoric rise through the national ranks when he takes to centre court at next week's State Age Open in Perth.With a current State age ranking of five ........... many in the local tennis fraternity are touting Richter as future superstar of the sport. ..... the Goldfields Baptist College student .......Richter has set the local tennis scene alight since moving from his native South Africa in 2008. In a little over two years, the teenager claimed the Goldfields Tennis Club's 2009 player of the year award, went undefeated in his debut senior pennant season and won May's junior closed tournament.'Kalgoorlie hs a strong tennis community and it is good to see that a kid with talent is supported in the local daily paper.
