mayonnaise recipe

For all you mayonnaise lovers here's my recipe its quick and easy and flop proof!!!!!!!

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon mustard powder

60 ml white vinegar

2 to 4 artificial sweetner sachets or 6 teaspoons of white sugar

500 ml olive oil or canola oil

Mix all the ingredieents except the oil together in a blender until blended. Add about 50ml of the oil to the mixture and blend on medium spee until the mixtue looks smooth. Add the rest of the oil to the mixture and blend until thick.

Place in a container and refrigerate

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, I will certainly try it and I even I see there is a healthier version ( no sugar ). Got to work those x-mas puddings off :thumbdown::whome:

Ja, those xtra kilo's are a bit of a sore topic at the moment, let me know if you enjoy the mayo, the olive oil one is a bit rich but very yummy on the tummy.

Will give this home made recipe a try as bought a house brand one - can't remember if it was Coles or Woolworths but it tasted very sweet.

My favourite is the Tangy mayonnaise from Woolworths South Africa which seems to have a slightly 'more tangy' flavour than the Cross and Blackwell.

Bubbly, what ingredients makes it 'tangy'?

YUMMY!!! Will give it a try, as I am a mayo freak, and have it one just about everything....specially slap chips!!!
