Guest wilna
Hi AlmalMy man wil graag weet hoe veilig fietsry daar in Australia is? Groete Wilna
Bianca S
hi WilnaWe like cycling/ mountain biking too. Check out these links:http://www.cycling.org.au//AM/Template.cfm?Section=Homehttp://www.qld.cycling.org.au/http://www.blissonwheels.com/diaries/aus/index.htmlhttp://www.trackcycling.net/site/news/news.php?id=317also with forumshttp://shop.lonelyplanet.com/product_detai...productID=793&&nice book to buy - mouth watering! In SA they DONT respect cycling, thats why so many accidents there. Since we've been in UK we realised the difference, even with some small roads here, they won't squeeze past, you know what I mean.Hope these links help. Sam
Wilna, see if you can find something on the internet on the famous Beach road in Melbourne. Hundreds of cyclists pass through it every weekend. It's a bit annoying for motorists and peds because we have to dodge an dive to miss them all the time, especially when they travel in big groups. They have protection, rights and freedom here and sometimes they abuse it. There are often articles about misbehavior and incidents in the local papers. Off course there are good club members that behave themselves and abide by the rules. It is just the occational idiot that gives them a bad reputation. There are also lots of other routes around Melbourne and lots of people who cycle long distances to work on a daily basis. The city is also geared for cyclists. We have a friend who cycle on beach road every weekend and traveled to work on his bicycle for years. He loves it. You'll also find showers in the workplace for cyclists.Regards, Sam Edited January 11, 2007 by Sam
Guest wilna
[Hi Sam and BiancaDit klink vreeslik lekker. Tanks Wilna
