jonathanb Posted March 3, 2006 Report Share Posted March 3, 2006 When I was working out cost of living etc and comparing what I spend here to what I would spend in AUS as a PR and it was quite incredible to see that in my case I would need about R5000 less per month to live on as I wont need to pay medical aid, school fees or security and if I start adding on what I spend on my 3 very big guard dogs, car guards, a locker at the beach (so the whole family can swin together without having to leave someone on the beach to guard the towels) etc it works out to be quite a saving.
