Shopping trolley's

Hi there

Just on the light side, why do all four wheels of the shopping trolley's here in Oz swivel. It makes it darn hard to manouvre around corners, especially in a carpark that is not flat.

I saw a small guy yesterday really battling to get his cristmas shopping to his car safely.

I have been in Australia since August 2006.

we just love the place and have no other complaints and actually had some good rain here in the outback over the last few days.

Hehehe...hmmm I have no idea why but all the trolleys I use tend to go left...I just HATE it...I always bump into something or someone... :ilikeit:

I agree about the trolley debacle. I am thinking about importing a Pick 'n Pay trolley (hubby wants a woolies one). I just cannot steer the darn things. I don't do a big shop on my own for fear of killing innocent shoppers. My hubby seems to manage... but he does look uncomfortable at times B)

The trollies here make for interesting shopping...and something new to talk about..

See it as a new challenge in your new lives...hehehe...must find something good about it B):D

must have taken this from their very creative ancestors from Britain. :ilikeit: The trolleys here in UK are heavy and have the same 4 swivel wheels!! very hard. :ilikeit: Also for older people and pregnant women. My daughter helped me by pushing and I pull, especially around corners and slopes!

So all I can say well done PnP for user friendly shopping B)

Here is a challenge for a creative South African to market trollies in Aus that benefit the customer!!

In Sydney Aldi have trolleys that work the same way as the South African ones. If I could get everything I needed from Aldi, I would never go to the stores with the 'crab' trolleys!
