Robert & Telanie Posted November 17, 2009 Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 Traffic BroadcastROAD CLOSURES - THIS SUNDAY FOR THE 2009 GREAT BIKE RIDEMain Roads Western Australia would like to advise motorists that 'The Great Bike Ride', from Perth to Fremantle and return, will be held this year on Sunday 22 November 2009.The bike ride will start and finish at Langley Park on the CBD Foreshore and will require the closure of the following roads:5am to 11.30amKWINANA FREEWAY NORTHBOUND - left lane closed from Canning Highway to Narrows Bridge KWINANA FREEWAY- northbound Mill Point Road off-ramp JUDD STREET on-ramp city bound4.30am to 11amBARRACK STREET, Southbound only from Esplanade to Riverside Drive RIVERSIDE DRIVE, Westbound between Barrack Street and Mounts Bay Road MOUNTS BAY ROAD Westbound from the Narrows Bridge to Hackett Drive4.30am to 12 noonCAUSEWAY left lane city boundCANNING HIGHWAY - left lane closed from Wray Road to Causeway4.30am to 1pmRIVERSIDE DRIVE, both directions from Causeway to Barrack StreetTraffic Management will be in place and speed restrictions will apply along the route, including the Kwinana Freeway northbound between Canning Highway and Mill Point Road off ramp. Bicycles will be using the left lane of the Freeway which will be separated by cones to allow vehicles to use the remaining lanes. The event is expected to be completed through this section by 11.30am.Main Roads WA in conjunction with Local Councils and Rotary, supports this charitable event and consider it to be an important promotion of a healthier more environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
