Hi Jordy,

I have just paid 1800 aud for my trip to South Africa on Singapore Airlines. I think the tickets on Virgin will be cheaper than advertised once they start operating out of Melbourne. Great to see competition on one of the most profitable routes in the world.

Please check the website of V Australia (part of Virgin Blue). They have just released super special return economy class fares ex SYD-JNB of $1499 incl taxes; BNE-JNB & ADL-JNB of $1599 incl taxes. MEL-JNB the return economy class fare amounts to $1649 incl taxes. These fares are on sale until 04 November 09 for outbound travel 13 March - 31 May 2010. These are very good airfares and beat SAA & Qantas by far. <_<
