Hi Search

Have a look at Church Information - CityLife Also have a read through the Melbourne community section of the forum.

CityLife is not a purely 'South African' church - I doubt whether you'd find that here in Melbourne - but I've been to CityLife (Manningham campus) and it's brilliant. Very friendly people and very meaningful service/'sermon'. The Manningham campus is close to Doncaster and Templestowe where lots of South African families live, so there are quite a few South Africans in the mix there.

Another church I'd still like to 'try out' as well is Bayside Church as it's closer to where I live. I was at an Australian wedding about 3 months ago where the pastor/'dominee' was from Bayside Church (Cheltenham campus) and the refreshing, open-minded and progressive way in which the wedding was done/led convinced me to check out the church later on.

PS: There are many more churches to choose from...there is literally something for everyone. I'd advise 'church-hopping' initially to find somewhere you feel comfortable personally, as this differs from person to person. ...Enjoy!

We are currently members of the following church:

Casey Christian Reformed Church. 350 – 352 Pound Road

Narre Warren South.

The Rev is a South African.

We also go to the Wonga Park, Christian Reformed Church for some Afrikaans services once a month on a Sunday evening. Rev Tinus Du Plessis.

Select "Wonga Park" at the bottom.

I agree with kangaroo:

Hope it helps. If want to know when the Afrikaans services are, PM me, then I can give you the details to become part of the mailing group of when the next service will be.
