Almost Aussie
Tax deductions for schooling are not state bound but Australia wide and determined by the ATO (Aus tax office). Fees aren't deductible but things like school books, internet, computer equipment etc. You're allowed to deduct 50% per kid with a limit of $750 per kid. That’s for primary kids and I think the limit for secondary is almost double that.
Tri-nations
You get back up to $375 for each primary school child and up to $750 for each secondary student.

valkie
Hi,My kids are in a private school and their building fee is tax refundable. The rest of the yearly school fees are not tax refundable. In the cases of public schools I cannot tell you how that works.CheersValkie
