jo1 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Share Posted March 4, 2009 Vendor Manager About the Gig:The Vendor Manager will manage manufacture relationships on an operational and strategic level on behalf of Virgin Mobile Australia. This role is responsible for hands on activities associated with device selection, negotiation, purchasing and life cycle management of the devices. This will require working across multiple groups in Virgin Mobile including the sales and marketing teams. The role requires excellent negotiation skills along with operational and commercial abilities. The role is ultimately responsible for building and executing VMA’s device strategy.The Device team is responsible for in life device portfolio, ranging recommendations and purchasing of Fixed, Mobile and Broadband devices for resale in all of the VMA channels both internal and external. The Device team is responsible for managing Inventory levels as well as the subsidy budget of up to a value of $70m each year.
