A recipe was posted on the forum which I want to try. The problem is my Afrikaans is not too good.

Could someone help with translation please?

Koekmeel - cake flour?

Bakpoeier - baking powder?

Koeksoda?

Kakaok - cocoa?

halfti (sout) - half a teaspoon?

Kookwater - boiling water?

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

I also don't know what "halfti" is... "half / halwe teelepel" is half a teaspoon, I filled in the one that was missing and the rest is correct.

Enjoy your baking...

Edit: Ok I saw the recipe that you got the above from... halftl is indeed half a teaspoon. Hope this helps. :ilikeit:

Type out the recipe, maybe we can all try a different amount of salt and get back to you on which one came out edible!!!!!! :)

I think the poster meant "tl" and not "ti":

half tl = half teelepel = halwe teelepel.

That's the puppy - nice one.
