I am setting up a group on Facebook for get-togethers in the Hills area - I see there has been a few attempts to organise get-togethers with varying results but the problem might be that we dont all get onto the Forum often enough to get the details & we are spread in too wide an area.On Facebook we could probably organise events better and people with similar interests and of similar age groups will find it easier to find each other. I havent done anything on the group site yet, just opened it now, but if you want to join in the meantime it is called "South African socials in The Hills & Surrounds, Sydney"We have a young kid so we will probably organise more family-orientated events - parks, picnics, braais etc during the day.Those of you in other areas should think of setting up a more area-specific group on Facebook as well - I really think the smaller groups will make it easier to connect people closer together and to get organised.What do you guys think?Looking forward to getting connected!Laura-Michelle0419026524 Edited January 16, 2009 by Laura-Michelle Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
