DebL
Hi all,Can anyone please give me some advise on how you get rid of the furniture etc. that you're not going to take with you. Obviously we need all the cash we can accumulate but from ads that we have placed so far we have not even had a reply!!! Charity shops have already had loads of stuff but we can't really afford to give everything away. Thanks
Dedrei
We have sold about everthing in our house by emailing a list of your furniture and their prices to all your friends and family and then they will forward this on to their friends. We sold both our cars this way as well, within a week most of the stuff had ownders as well. So make up a excel spreadsheet and put everything on there and their prices and maybe a photo or two and you'll sure be able to get some responses within an hour. Riekie
We had a huge garage sale every weekend for about 6 weeks. We advertised the sale in our local school newsletter and handed out leaflets at the local SPAR when there were a lot of ppl after work. I had a friend who advertised a list of the items on their internal classifieds at work. The news spread very fast and we managed to sell almost everything apart from a few books and other odds & ends which we donated to charity.
