2008 Red Bull Air Race

On 1st & 2nd November, Perth will come alive with all the race action,

In its fourth year, The Red Bull Air Race World Series will again conclude in Perth over the Swan River. The 2008 event will run over two days with qualifying taking place on Saturday 1 November and Race Day on Sunday 2 November.

Touching down in 10 cities worldwide in 2008, each Red Bull Air Race is unique. From the heart of the city to the open countryside, over land or water, a Red Bull Air Race can take place almost anywhere. Spectacular backdrops and jaw dropping guarantee that spectators experience one of the most innovative and exciting new sports competitions around today.

Perth will host this exciting event for the third time in November, again using Langley Park as the temporary airport and the Swan River will be transformed in to the Race Track. Spectators will be able to view the race from around the banks of the river, with the best viewing location on Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth.
