They look pretty flimsy to me.Can you provide the riempies loose?Are you aware of plastic replacements locally and what the heck is riempies called here?My chairs arrived in 1 piece but I need to replace some riempies. Mara Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 My husband replaced all my diningroom chair's riempies with nylon rope, worked like a dream and looks good. I personally think that the chairs actually sit better. The nylon rope he purchased from a sailboat shop. He used white rope, with the light coloured chairs, that is what I asked for.
