emmarentiad Posted July 18, 2008 Report Share Posted July 18, 2008 Mark,Cico and friends were from Perth Australia and travelled through Africa at the time.they stayed in same street as us in upper Maynard rd Gardens Cape Town, opposite Garden centre, near bridge. we have lost contact years ago and the last postcard from Mark was dated 02-04-1989 Zimbabwe. Some hints as to where they have traveled:They saw Ub40 in Bulawayo. Transkei was unreal. met people in Durban and stayed for couple of weeks.Jhb is like London. Visited the pub "the yard". visited township jazzclubs. hitched hike to Soweto. went to Kruger Nat Park, Okovango swamps. Savate. Chobe and Victoria falls. from there they went on to Zaire, Zambia and Uganda.
