Annette Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 Hi allI was doing my quarterly meat shop at Baa Moo Oink again today (in Findon Road) and lo and behold - they now sell biltong! It's not made by them, it is in small packets, either "soft" biltong or "original". The "soft" turned out to be just right - sliced and not too spicy, but not too bland either ( I thought it would be "nat" biltong, but it wasn't) and the "original" is just an uncut piece in a bag (thin little thing, shame!).It was horrendously expensive ($2.99 for 30g and $4.99 for 80g), but at least my craving was satisfied for a little while! It's made by D. Jays and advertised as a "New Taste Sensation". The shop is at 378 Findon Road and it has a big "Midfields Meats" sign on the roof.
