Don't burn your bridges completely at this late stage until you have the visa in your hand, so don't sell the roof over your head just yet . . . just look at what you might get for it and start thinking of what you can pack and get rid of to friends and mates in the next month and what paper work and official stuff needs to be dealt with in the meantime.Start spending time with old mates and family members now before you go. Your life won't ever be the same once you land on the other side of the Indian Ocean and you'll miss them over the years to come. . . . . . just my advice, for what it's worth.Oh! . . . and have a beer on me!
