Establish and maintain a positive and sustainable safety and health culture and performance within the refinery workforce

Executive Role:

Prepare process plant production plans, budgets and forecasts. Establish performance benchmarks and develop World's Best Practices to ensure maximum business efficiency in all departments is being achieved.

Manage the refinery production facility and prioritise work to meet short, medium and long-term needs of the facility

Liaise with all production refinery personnel on an informal basis regularly to communicate operational successes and failures. Develop and implement competency based training and development plans for all personnel requirements to ensure the refinery is operated to its design criteria

Communicates and reports formally within the division structure to provide critical cost and labour data and other technical information to senior management

Deliver LME grade Nickel and Cobalt Briquettes to customers as per agreed contracts and specification and to the agreed production schedule

Staff reporting to role: Superintendents (6); Process Engineering (5) ;Production Operators (70 to 80); Maintenance (40); Permit to Work/Safety (25)

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years managerial experience

Proven success of managing a large production/process plant at both a strategic and hands-on level

Tertiary qualifications with Chemical / Metallurgical degree or equivalent are preferred

Post-graduate qualifications in management would be well regarded
