Steve Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 I applied for a subclass 309 (Spousal Visa) for my wife based on my being a citizen. Apparently my wife can register for Medicare immediately (they'll even cover the Birth costs a couple of months later....I mailed them), but I will be on a waiting period for benefits ? That seems odd.Does anybody know what the policy is around Social payments, New start allowance, Birth Payment etc ?
