Chest X-rays while pregnant for 457 Visa

Hi All

Our family is on its way to Australia (Portland, Victoria), my husband already has work, and we are now busy with the 457 Visa process. I am 20 weeks pregnant, and according to the immigration agent I have to go for chest X-rays in order to get the Visa. Does anyone have any information on this, can a provisional Visa be granted and X-rays done at a later date.

Has anyone been through this or had a similar problem that could advise us. I do not want to stay behind in SA and have the baby here, as we won't have medical coverage here by then.

Surely there must be a way around this. I've done some digging, but found little information.

Cheers.

Lani

Lani a while ago someone had the same problem. Apparantly what they do is put a lead apron over your belly when doing the x-ray.

Hope this helps.
