CapeTownToolNut Posted March 10, 2008 Report Share Posted March 10, 2008 It's 1969......the world,(except ZA),watches TV with bated breath as Apollo 11 lands on the moon.Niel Armstrong takes the first human step on the moon and surveys the desolate,rocky lunar landscape.He moves forwards to plant the American flag and stops dead in his tracks.Sitting on a moon rock is a haggard,bearded figure,in a tattered khaki safari suit,comb in the pocket and typical farmers' pipe hanging from his lips."We thought us Americans were the first on the moon" says an incredulous Niel Armstrong."Nee Man" replies ou Koos Van Der Merwe, "us white South Africans have been here for 10 years already.""What the...?" replies Armstrong," 10 Years? - but you've built no roads,schools,electricity or infrastructure,and your clothes have'nt been washed,mended or ironed either - what have you been doing for the last 10 years?""Ag Man",replies Van Der Merwe,"They said they'd send us our maids and our boys(labourers),but we are still waiting" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
