ChrisinBris
Hi all,Just joined to investigate the possibility of moving to the land of Oz...It is great to get such up to date insights from former or current Sout Africans. We are not in any great rush, so are likely to go the independent (175) route.Sure I will have plenty more questions to add to rest in short order.Cheers

Guest The M's
Hi!Snap! We decided in Jan 08 "it was time" - so far, have applied for kids SA p/ports and mine, applied for unabridged marriage cert (12 weeks!!!) and getting necesary paperwork for husbands british p/port.As we are in no hurry (husbands kids live in Oz, coming to SA for xmas - so we kinda forced to be here till after xmas to accommodate them!).... lots to learn, lots of red tape, lots of visits to lovely places like The Dept of Home Affairs.... and lots of patience I believe is needed for this journey!See u around! Tobold
Hello and welcome! We're not too far into the process ourselves, and are also resigned to taking it slow. We hope to lodge our visa application in April or early May, as by then we should have everything we need (IELTS test results, positive skills assessment, birth certificates, marriage certificate and military papers). I wish you all the best with your application. Mark
