11 April:  PTE results

20 April:  Applied for Skills Assessment - Accountant (General)

29 May:  Received positive Skills Assessment

29 May:  Submitted EOI with 75 points

01 Aug:  My unabridged birth certificate readyntogether with unabridged marraige certificate

03 Aug:  EOI updated to 80 points as I now had 8 years qualifying experience

09 Aug:  Received invitation to apply!!

15 Aug:  Applied for PCC's

16 Aug:  Wife received new passport

20 Aug:  Received PCC - forgot wife's maiden name so asked them to amend that

25 Aug:  Received updated PCC

13 Sep:  Medical Exam

20 Sep:  Received Medical clearance

I applied in SC189 after receiving an invite in August (EOI with 75 points/ANZSCO code 263111) . My spouse and I did medicals and got PCCs up-front and submitted a (hopefully) decision ready application.

Here is to a quick turn-around! ;)

Good stuff, any contact from a case officer? I find myself checking the immi account a couple times a day! Even though I know that i'll get an automated mail if there is any movement.

You are not likely to get an update after 9am ZA time if that helps.

No contact yet (and if things go my way, maybe a direct grant and no contact?).

It is hard not to obsess about the visa (I do watch the updates for SC190 on myimmitracker.com). I figure it will be about another month before our cohort begins seeing significant movement. It is also easy for me to bullsh*t myself into thinking I'm going to be in the top quantile - those getting grants in 30-days (and by definition, the odds of this are low).

There is plenty of wisdom going around this forum about the virtue of patience, and not wishing away your days (especially in relation to leaving your old life behind if that is expected to be painful), but eish, easier said than done.

Hi mates,

Thanks for staring this thread.

I lodged my sc190 application on the 4th September and uploaded all the required documents. So far no CO contact yet and the status is still received. so I'm hoping and praying for a direct grant.

Welcome @Jameausi, good luck! Here's to direct grants all round!

Did you guys use agents? I'm going it on my own.

We were in the same position in April this year...exciting times knowing it's out of your hands, there begins the silent waiting room. I just hope you won't have to wait for long. Goodluck

Hi mates,

I just want you to know that the CO contacted me on the 5th of October for additional information. So it took 31 days for the contact.

Awesome news, congrats! Did they ask for anything additional?

So, exciting news! Finally got an e-mail from a CO this morning!!! Less exciting news, they requested additional information......... They requested additional evidence of employment for my husband, which we will hopefully be able to get from the HR department at work on Monday. Strangely, they requested a police clearance certificate for our 7 year old daughter?!?! I have replied to the e-mail to query this, so fingers crossed that it is a mistake!
