Visas lodged Jan\Feb 2017

Immitracker only tracks people who have entered their information, not ALL visas so you are seeing the data of people who have taken the trouble to share.  It is not indicative of where visa grants are up to.

Yup I know, thats why I said "according to the registered users data on myimmitracker."

If you brouse a couple of other forums not linked to immitracker it seems like there is a decline in the number of grants given per day since the begining of May.

Hope things pickup soon B)

Have you emailed the address that sends back an automated reply with where they are up to?  It is frustrating waiting and I sometimes wonder if it was easier back when it was all paper forms and we couldn't keep checking? I would have been obsessed if I'd had that option

@Dean04 and @DannyReed32 - Have you guys contacted your CO for an update?

I spoke to my agent yesterday, they say that all the current client accounts are moving slow.:(

Same trend on social media as well.

I read the new migration budget speach that they're cutting about 250 staff on the GSM visa processing side in July, could also be a reason for a go slow.<_<

They won't give you an update.  The only communication you'll ever see from them is either a request for additional information or a grant.

Hi

I agree with @ChrisH the do not communicate with anyone. Most of the time they just send you an automated reply. All we can do is sit back and hope we didn't waste our money. If I compare the April/May thread with ours then the first grant was already given, and some of us already had co contacts by now, but their thread is all still TBC. So there must be a downtrend or something. I'm sure it'll pick up, it just sucks to be in the dark.

Strongs  @Dean04 we'll be celebrating soon enough

Saw this thread come to the top.  The Skilled Independent Visa have slowed considerably - they are close to the quota for this year.  A DIBP processing officer confirmed this in an email to me recently.

There are a limited number of places available for GSM applicants for the 2016-17 programme year and therefore processing times will be longer for some visa applicants.  Additionally once the remaining places are used we will be unable to grant further visas in this category in the current programme year.

Hang on in there.  Last year we saw a rush of grants after the 1st July - hoping for the same this year.

It's very strange the way they choose what to process first.

@DannyReed32 and I are both waiting and both under the same occupation. (3232-14)

You'd think with an occupational ceiling of 6677 for 2016/2017 and only 97 visas granted in this field they'd be granted sooner. <_<

I hope to get my golden ticket in July! :magic:

Still nothing on your side dean?

I had to submit a unabridged birth certificate as well for my non migrating dependent. Pressed the information provided button AGAIN for the second time. Hope this was now the last of this nonsense

Hey everybody.

Of the whole visa process the time after lodging visa is probably the worst time. We are on exactly 7 months now but with that being said we have already submitted docs to the case officer twice. So hopefully we get our grant asap cause our police clearance expires end of jan 2018 so were going to have to make entry before then😤 but thats life.

@Dean04 if i may ask. With which agency are you?

That's something I don't understand either.

Thought with such low numbers things would move quick!
